Basic Life Support & AED

For participants requiring a brief overview of basic life support in a medical emergency, this course provides a four-hour session explaining the principles and techniques for delivering primary survey and CPR (with defibrillator).

  • To preserve the life of a casualty in the event of a medical emergency.

  • To understand how to maintain the safety of the casualty and the scene around them.

  • To build confidence in responding to a casualty in need of life support.

  • To understand the principles and mechanics of CPR and defibrillation

  • To learn how to conduct a primary survey on a casualty.

  • To effectively demonstrate CPR (with AED) and placing casualty in the safe airway position.
