Aims of course:

Gain an enlightening perspective into residential / social care settings from Jake Robinson, an individual with a Learning Disability and support needs who wants to share his experiences to improve the knowledge and awareness of staff working in care environments.

  • To learn about residential / social care settings from an individual who has experienced them first-hand.

  • To improve staff confidence and awareness for working in residential / social care settings.

  • To develop the necessary skills and knowledge for supporting individuals living in residential / social care settings.

  • To recognise the benefits and challenges of living in residential / social care settings.

  • To have the opportunity to ask any questions to an individual living in residential / social care.
